Meet Our Staff
We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
Hannah – Front Office/Treatment Coordinator
Aloha! My name is Hannah and I have been working for Dr. Kawakami since August 2003. I enjoy meeting and getting to know our patients and their families. Dr. Kawakami and the staff are always there to help answer any questions that you may have.
My husband, James, and I have three children and six grandchildren. During my free time, I love to spend time with my family and friends, travel, exercise, scrapbook and go to the beach whenever I can. I am also actively involved with the Filipino American Club of Southern Arizona. I have been on the committee since 2003 volunteering, doing community service and giving back to our community wherever help is needed. I am looking forward to meeting you and making you apart of our Kawakami family. Mahalo!
Sasha – Orthodontic Technician
Hello! I am Sasha and I was born and raised in Sierra Vista. I am one of the four orthodontic technicians that work with Dr. Kawakami’s office. I have been in the dental field since 2007 working as a dental assistant and started orthodontics in March of 2012. I have the experience of meeting new faces every day as well as working with an amazing staff to create beautiful smiles. Our staff is always welcoming new patients to give Dr. Kawakami the opportunity to give you an amazing smile. Away from the office, I enjoy being outdoors, playing sports, and spending time with my family and two beautiful daughters. I am grateful to help every one of our patients with a life changing experience of having braces. I am looking forward to meeting you!
Felicia – Orthodontic Technician
Hello! I’m Felicia. I was born and raised in Sierra Vista, Arizona and lived here all my life. My family owns the Bird Cage Theatre in Tombstone, Arizona and I’m the 5th Generation owner of the Bird Cage. I just graduated from Horizon Health Care Institute in May 2012 here in Sierra Vista for dental assisting. I can’t wait to start my new career in the orthodontic field. It’s been my passion to work in ortho and now I am here, and I love it! I love how I can make someone who is afraid to smile and then get them that million dollar smile they always wanted. In my spare time, I like to dance, go camping, travel and spend time with family and friends.
Leta – Dental Assistant
My name is Leta. I went to school for dental assisting at Bryman College in Phoenix, Arizona in 1994. I went right into orthodontics after I graduated. I worked in Tucson and New Hampshire. I even worked here for Dr. Kawakami from 1997 to 1999. I am happy to be back here in this fun office again. My husband and I have two great kids. My daughter, Aleah, is 13 and my son, Joshua, is 11.
Kimberly – Dental Technician
My name is Kimberly. I have been a dental technician since September 1983. I grew up in Florida and attended St. Petersburg College and graduated from Ashworth University. I traveled with the military, as a spouse, for 20 years. I have four rescue dogs, one drag race car, and travel Route 66 every year with 10 other classic cars.
Brandie – Certified Dental Assistant
I graduated from Clover Park Technical College with my CDA in 1995. I have 15 years of orthodontic experience and have worked for Dr. Kawakami since the fall of 2013. I am married with two children, four step-children and one step-granddaughter. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, fishing, camping, yoga and traveling to my home state of Washington to visit my Northwest family.
